The taste is fine, especially if you mix it a little thin to increase amount actually dissolved. In terms of performance, I find that I have much greater sustained energy, and the protein really has reduced the time-to-feeling and duration of hunger during a ride, although on longer rides you just cannot replace solid food. Recovery also seems improved as well.

Re: What is Your Favorite Electrolyte Replacement Drink for Cycling?

Mike thanks a lot your information. It's sugar-free, has complex carbs that burn over time and has 170mg of potassium in one bottle 16.9 oz bottle. Has 50mg of Sodium and is sweetened with sucralose. It will eliminate heat cramps. May want to try.. www.drinkovertime.com

Re: What is Your Favorite Electrolyte Replacement Drink for Cycling?

Drinks could really be a good supplement during training for cycling. Plus, Pedialyte is for children, who, according to my pharmcist, require a different amount of electrolyte than an adult, making it difficult to know how much Pedialyte to use per oz's of water. Your thoughts? The above Recovery e21 sounds inrteresting.

Re: What is Your Favorite Electrolyte Replacement Drink for Cycling?

pedialyte

Re: What is Your Favorite Electrolyte Replacement Drink for Cycling?

I have done extensive searching for accurate research on the strips. However, since it is a MLM company the internet is flooded with reviews, comments, ratings, etc in favor of the strips from people who are actually involved in the MLM pyramid and trying to promote the enlyten business. save your money.

Re: What is Your Favorite Electrolyte Replacement Drink for Cycling?

I have tried Recovery e21 when i ran the NYC marathon and i took 15 minutes of my final time running with it. DId you run the NY marathon? How did it go?

Re: What is Your Favorite Electrolyte Replacement Drink for Cycling?

check out recovery e21, its a new product from Australia. I got a free sample at the New York Marathon and im now going to be using a combination of that and gatorade from now on. No cramping at all and very litte aches and pain. they claim to be the only full spectrum organic electrolyte replacement on earth so its worth checking out.

Re: What is Your Favorite Electrolyte Replacement Drink for Cycling?

Bicycling.com lists the most effective electrolyte replacement as Enlyten Electrolyte Strips. Read their review below.

http://www.bicycling.com/artic...

These strips allow you to pre-load your body with electrolytes that dissolve directly into your blood stream through your cheek, bypassing your stomach. This delivery system provides up to 95% absorption of the available electrolytes in just 2 to 3 minutes. A sports drink, gel or cap will take up to 2 hours to digest and become available for absorption. And only 20% to 40% of the electrolytes in a digested product will be absorbed.

Don't take my word for it, try <a href="http://www.allstrips.com>enlyten them for yourself at <a href=" rel="nofollow">http://www.AllStrips.com

The amount of energy spent by a cyclist is huge compared to what regular food can provide. Also, through excessive sweat they eliminate the minerals in their bodies very fast. That is why they have to eat concentrate supplements and drink beverages with lots of minerals.
_________
legal steroids

Re: What is Your Favorite Electrolyte Replacement Drink for Cycling?

I don't have to tell you that that there are hundreds of sports drinks out there that are designed to restore and replenish the bodies lost electrolytes.
