Ya the snowboarding socks helped slightly, however, my feet were still chilly and booties would have helped tremendously. Thanks for the comments!

Sounds like a nice ride! The peaceful, relaxing ones are the best. The beginning of my ride was very relaxing, but once I got on rt. 44, there was moderate-heavy traffic. Congrats on hitting the 2k mark. I remember when I hit it on mine a month or so ago, it is a great feeling knowing you've been putting in some real miles lately.

I concur with you on the coldest part of your body, I went out on an early ride about a month ago, it was around 30° plus and the most uncomfortable part was my feet, they felt frozen. Its helped since, I have been using wool socks, I'm in the hunt for over the shoe booties.

My ride consisted of going out on the bike path, the roads and Bike path was very empty, it felt eerie seeing everything so quiet, but realizing a large majority of families were together enjoying, made that thought disappear. It was in the mid 50° and wet. Very enjoyable short ride, I enjoyed it most because it was a milestone ride, I hit the 2k mile mark on my Bike.
