MikeMartinRacing.com: James Stewart Revolutionized the Sport of Motocross

Hey Mike, cool blog post and great videos to back up your points. That 2001 race was insane! Barcia is fun to watch, but keep in mind he hasn't won a moto yet, and other than Glen Helen hasn't really even been close. He's really fast, and he looks even faster, but I think there's truth to the argument that he wastes too much energy throwing the bike around like that off EVERY jump. Pourcel, Dungey, and Weimer are the riders winning that class and they look more like the guys in the 2005 video. It should be interesting to see what kind of damage Barcia can do on a supercross track this winter though.

Hey Keith, thanks for the comment. I agree that Barcia is definitely fun to watch. His style is incredible. You have a good point, that he is wasting ALOT of energy, enough so that it may be costing him victories. However, he is such a new rider, it is hard to tell. It is possible that he is not winning just because he has not fully adapted to the pro scene yet. We'll have to wait until next season to see what has changed in his program. Maybe he will "calm" his riding style a bit in order to save energy.

I agree with Keith. Very nice post. I'll use this on Thursdays feature article on Virtual Trainer if that is ok with you.

Thanks for the compliment Tim. Feel free to use the article on Racer X VT, let me know if you need anything to go with it.

millipo30 seems like a pretty legit dude. I would like to buy his product and/or service, but only if he lets me pay his business partner through MoneyGram.
